Belated birthday post

As usual, I've been terrible at keeping the pictures coming but here are a few of Cal's 2nd Birthday last month. He had a great day, playing with friends and eating all his favourite foods. The best part of the day had to be the birthday cake that Daddy made. A lovely chocolate covered sponge decorated with smarties and filled with chocolate butter cream. Cal thought he had died and gone to heaven.

Just clearing the memory card a few nights ago and found a few pics worth posting. Here are some ones of Cal's first messy play at home. We hadn't managed to persuade him before this point - he HATES having dirty hands. Can't be my son.

Cal and a little Pearl

After meeting up with Charlotte and her lovely little baby girl Pearl the other day, I had to post a few pics.

It's been way too long since I posted last and Cal is changing so much every day. Of course he is walking now in fact he pretty much runs everywhere now. He's also a little chatterbox and attempts to say everything you say to him - some words come out better than others. My favourites at the moment is 'oggie' for yoghurt and 'menlamum' for mango but there's lots of words he'll say much more clearly - garden (after The Night Garden), toast, shoe,park,cat,two,bubble,Daddy (of course)......the list goes on.
He also seems to be slimming out a little despite his two weetabix for breakfast habit and his hair seems to get more blond by the day.
At the moment he is particulary keen on his books, his new shoes and cats. Cats don't seem to be that fond of him. Luckily, so far he has only come into contact with tolerant cats...it's only a matter of time before one shows it's displeasure at being pinned to a wall and patted heavily.
