Has Anyone Seen My Bunny?

Somebody call ChildLine.......

Some funny pics from today

I have some great photos of the walk that Steve took - way better than mine so I'll post those in a minute. Meanwhile, here's a couple from today.

Me and Cal having some quality time this afternoon after his tea.

Cal is sitting up to play now!

Walking in the Peaks

Yesterday the sun was shining. At last it felt like summer so we were determind to get out and walk. We jumped in the car and following the directions given by the nice lady on Steves new GPS, we drove to Tidswell Dale.
There is one thing I learnt yesterday, in fact I already knew. That is that boys are completely obsessed with maps, directions and the shortest route to get somewhere and girls don't give two hoots about where they are in relation to anywhere or how they got there. I'm thinking of buying Cal a road map of Britain for his first birthday because he's a boy and it's a given that he'll be into directions too.

The walk was beautiful. We saw lots of cows, waded through lots of cow dung, drank a nice pint of beer at a country pub and ate the best fish and chips I've had in ages on the way home.

I wish I was carried around in this

A wrong turn?

The Lakes

How could I forget? On Sunday afternoon we drove up to the Lakes to see Grandma Grace and Aunty Pauline. On monday morning the sun was shining and we managed to get out for a walk with Cal in his new back pack. He spent most of the first part of the walk shouting and singing and the last part of the walk he zonked out (see pic)

SPLASH!!!

Not much has been going on recently, the weather has been so awful - it's STILL raining here.
I did take Cal swimming the other day and although there is no photographic evidence, he did have a great time and wasn't scared at all. He was floating around quite happily and kicking his legs - I'm hoping he will love the water. This was a good start. I did however, forget to take his trunks so his first swimming pool experience was sans swimming cossy. Luckily his waterproof nappy was blue and patterned on the outside so we got away with it. What kind of mother am I? Lucky he isn't old enough to be embarassed.
Today we went to see Grandma Friend. She kept Cal entertained while I got a bit of work done.

A typically crazy afternoon at Grandma Friend's

Lazy Sunday

It's still raining believe it or not....what a summer! Today we were driven to do some house work but not before a quick visit to Outside Cafe in Hathersage. Picked up a much needed baby carrier. As Cal is getting bigger it's impossible to go walking with him in the Baby Bjorn and there's lot's of places we want to go where the pushchair won't.
For Cal the rest of the day consisted of eating sleeping and lots of smiling......no teeth yet though.

Happy 1/2 Birthday!!!

Cal is 6 months old today. He didn't have cake because he's not able to eat it yet. Actually, he'd probably give it a go but we didn't think it a good idea. Instead he had some birthday yoghurt.....mmmmmm....what a treat!
Also as a special 1/2 birthday treat his teething pains seems to have abated a little today.

Happy Birthday!

Cal's talented best friend Steevie made him the star of his own music video - this is hopefully just the first in a short line of Cal movies ;-)

A Busy Day

Well, apart from drinking out of a sippy cup and bouncing in his bouncer, Cal has been to Sleaford today to look at a new car with us. Very nice it is too so hopefully we'll buy it. Something nice and roomy to carry His Royal Chubby Chops around in (pictures of the car if a when we get it). Mike also made coffee - it's really good!!

And more pics.........
