Walking in the Peaks

Yesterday the sun was shining. At last it felt like summer so we were determind to get out and walk. We jumped in the car and following the directions given by the nice lady on Steves new GPS, we drove to Tidswell Dale.
There is one thing I learnt yesterday, in fact I already knew. That is that boys are completely obsessed with maps, directions and the shortest route to get somewhere and girls don't give two hoots about where they are in relation to anywhere or how they got there. I'm thinking of buying Cal a road map of Britain for his first birthday because he's a boy and it's a given that he'll be into directions too.

The walk was beautiful. We saw lots of cows, waded through lots of cow dung, drank a nice pint of beer at a country pub and ate the best fish and chips I've had in ages on the way home.

I wish I was carried around in this

A wrong turn?

A climber on Sardine, Raven Tor

Oooh a map!!!

Mad cow!

"So, the car should be just over that hill, across the next field and........"
